Running this website business entails a lot of work. What makes it worthwhile is the great friends and contacts I make all over the world, the fun stuff my correspondents share with me (much of it strictly unrepeatable), and the sales statistics. Here are some current figures (as of November 2003).

On eBay, a copy of the first edition of my Cold Reading book sold for about 10 times its original cover price, although the documentary proof is no longer available (eBay have deleted the item number). I'm told that copies of the second edition are now changing hands for around $160.

Reminder #1: the cold reading book has not been successful because I'm so brilliant. I'm not. It's because cold reading is incredible stuff, and a lot of people want to know about it and use it.

I started selling my second book, Sense of Touch, in June 2002 (it's for magicians only). When I announced it was for sale, I sold just over 200 copies in the first five working days!

Reminder #2: all these sales have been achieved without any advertising (paid or unpaid), without Amazon or any other re-sellers and without retail outlets. Just one person, one website... and a great many wonderful friends, supporters and like-minded souls all over the world.
