Mind Power: Fact, Fiction & Fakery

Below is an Overview of my lecture show.

'Mind Power: Fact, Fiction and Fakery' is my lecture show about what I call real mind power. The basic message is easy to appreciate:

1. Whatever you want to achieve, it's a good idea to start by getting your own mind into gear: adopting the attitudes and beliefs that tend to foster success.

2. Real mind power has nothing to do with so-called  'psychics' or with 'New Age' sentiments. I'm healthily skeptical about both.

3. Real mind power is non-weird, non-mystical. It is practical and provable. Even so, we should retain a sense of wonder becase the human mind can achieve things which may seem magical or to defy belief. This is what I demonstrate, live on stage.

I illustrate this message with a series of baffling demonstrations and seemingly 'impossible' feats, many of them unique and devised specifically for their impact in this context. You will believe your mind can work miracles! The show is dynamic, easy to absorb, and funny.

There are many 'motivational' speakers around. They all have their good points. But the fact is, none of them can do the things I do.

"I suspect that it's his constant appearance before audiences all over the world that hones Ian's skill and knowledge of this most complicated and subtle art. He has no peer in what he does. I'm not often in awe of a friend; I make an exception in this case.”
- James Randi

"You really did some exceptional work demonstrating how the tricks of the trade can be used to delude people. You're a true professional, easy to work with as well as being an informed and articulate interviewee." - Muriel Pearson ABC Television
