TV Miracles > Firewalk 1 / 5

For the 'Magic & Mystery' show I performed one of the very first firewalks ever seen on British television which provided the correct explanation for the phenomenon (not psychic, not mind over matter, not positive thinking... the laws of physics and conductivity). These are my own photos of the event, not stills from the TV transmission. For the record, the 'Magic & Mystery' show was produced by C.S.T. Productions for Anglia TV. They did a superb job of organising the firewalk at relatively short notice. It was very enjoyable making the report, and it made a very entertaining piece of TV.

Warning: do not try to organise your own firewalk. You will probably hurt yourself. You need the know-how and guidance of someone who has done it before.

It all starts with a gardener, or any man with a shovel, removing an inch of turf from a rectangle of grass. This is the fire trench. Then a local tree surgeon delivers some wood which can be added to the trench.
