I travelled up to Liverpool late on Wednesday night, and stayed at 'The Adelphi' - a famous Liverpool hotel. On the morning of Thursday, 10th Nvember, I was collected by taxi and taken to the TV studios.

Presenter Judy Finnegan was ill, and so the show was hosted by Richard Madeley on his own. During the broadcast, the envelope was passed to Richard by one of the production team. Richard himself confirmed to viewers that I had not had access to the envelope, and that it had been locked away since it was signed. I did not touch the envelope as Richard himself opened it and took out the contents.
