Deadly Down Under / Sydney Aquarium

Sydney is very proud of its aquarium, and rightly so. It is nothing short of magnificent. I spent hours there, and could have spent many more.

I like this next picture, for the pleasing combination of the big black fish (shark?) and its shadow.

One of the aquarium's finest attractions are the vast tanks with 'underwater' viewing tunnels, which allow the crowds to get unbelievable views.

When I went into these tunnels, I wondered if I would get good, close-up pictures of the sharks. I need have had no doubts. The only way to get a closer look at a shark is to get eaten by one.

Finally, a penguin who obviously has aspirations to join the Magic Circle. Here he is, performing his famous 'Vanishing Head' illusion. I promise I have not tampered with these photos in any way. They are just two pictures of the same penguin, taken about 2 seconds apart.
