Deadly Down Under / Annie Warburton
From the Convention programme:
"Annie Warburton is a recovering lawyer with a passion for words and talking a
lot. In 1983 she managed to obtain gainful employment with the ABC, which now indulgently
pays her to do just that. Born in Melbourne, Annie spent 14 years in Darwin before
deciding that the tropics was no place for a white woman, and she fled to Tasmania, home
of her paternal ancestors. She has a regular column in the Hobart Mercury, pops
up now and again in The Skeptic and has written for the Bulletin, the Sydney
Morning Herald and the Financial Review on language, law, and skepticism.
Annie still doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up."
