Way Out West / The VenetianI should make it clear that both of these
photos were taken indoors at The Ventian. The gondola rides pass both indoors and
outdoors, but there are very deceptive false skies throughout the Venetian so first-timers
can get a little confused.

Below is the crowning glory of The Venetian: the central plaza, which some people try
to claim is modelled on St Mark's Square in Venice. There is actually little resemblance
at all, but it's still a terrific place to hang out, eat or be entertained. At regular
intervals during the day, you can watch a free show combining operatic recital with a
little dancing, juggling and mime.
