Here are two rolls of what is known as "Sellotape" or "Scotch Tape". They are permanently linked together and cannot be separated without damaging one or the other. Both are perfectly usable, and can be handled quite freely. I purchased these perplexing objects from their maker, puzzle-enthusiast Angus Lavery.
