Wow Cards > ReFlexions Gallery Introduction

Card ReFlexions are cards folded in ways that seem intriguing, counter-intuitive or impossible. If you try to 'unfold' them in your mind, you may discover aspects which seem baffling.

To see the cards, go to the Card Reflexions Gallery.

I make these cards from ordinary shop-bought playing cards, purely by slitting and folding. No joins, no glue or adhesive. See The Rules.

To buy some cards for yourself, go back to the Home page menu and see How To Order.

Each card is a unique, hand-made original. In the age of mass-produced everything, isn't that a nice change? Some people see ReFlexion cards as purely decorative, and they display their cards in frames or stands. The cards have also been used as:

  • unique and wonderful gifts, unlike anything else
  • 'executive toys' with an endless charm and fascination
  • centrepieces for desks, tables or displays
  • symbols, for everything from 'Yin-Yang' to 'the concept of Trinity' (so customers tell me)
  • motivational symbols: just because something looks impossible, doesn't mean it is!
  • puzzles and 'think' pieces
  • provocative aids to creative thinking, and lateral strategies
  • souvenirs and keepsakes - nobody ever forgets or loses these cards!
  • attention getters and talking points - stick one on your desk and everyone wants a closer look!

The photos in the Gallery are OK, but they can't do justice to the cards themselves. No picture can convey what it is like to hold these cards, to study and look at them in your own hands as you trace their intricate structures.

"The friends for whom the cards were ordered as gifts were knocked out by these unusual creations and have arranged to have them placed in frames so that they will be shown off to their best effect. Thank you for your prompt and efficient service."
