Overview

This course is based on my book, 'People Joy'. It's about advanced inter-personal and communication skills. If you want to know how to build instant rapport, get along with people, lead, persuade and inspire them, or develop a 'charismatic' profile, this is the course for you.

What Happens

This course is based on several key principles from my book, 'People Joy'. I start with three foundational ideas: how you feel about other people, how you feel about yourself and how you feel about conversations.

From there, I teach several keys to successful and productive conversations and some common mistakes to avoid. I also cover a hugely important technique called 'The Ten-Second Smile' and the fascinating subject of vocalics — how to use your voice to best advantage.

Notes

Social codes and conventions obviously vary a great deal, depending on local culture and customs. I do make this clear during the course so that everyone can adapt the material to suit their own culture and social norms.

Practical Matters

Time:  This course can run from a minimum of about 90 minutes to two or three hours. It is best suited to a group, class or situation where everyone can take part in open discussion and share their perspectives on the ideas I present.

All attendees will get their own set of printed course notes. I supply you with the master copy, from which you print as many copies as we'll need on the day. I usually also supply copies of my book, 'People Joy', at cost price, so that everyone attending can leave with their own copy.​
