Communication Training

My book, 'People Joy', is essentially about advanced social, inter-personal and communication skills. As you can see from my Corporate Training page, I offer talks and training based on the material in the book. There are more details on my People Joy page.

I feel passionate about this subject. When you know how to communicate well, success becomes 100 times easier. When you don't, it becomes 100 times harder than it needs to be.

​

For communication training, I start by focusing on three foundational aspects of communication excellence:

​

• How you feel about other people.

​

• How you feel about yourself. This is about developing a charismatic personality,  practising self-greatness (without arrogance) and living without fear, self-doubt and conflict.

 

• How you feel about conversations.

​

Once I've covered these foundational points, I move on to discuss other aspects of successful communication. This part of the training is largely shaped by whatever we have discussed as being especially relevant to you, your team or your company. However, two areas that I tend to cover are:

• The ten-second smile. This is one of the most important and life-changing techniques that any successful communicator can learn. 

​

• Vocalics. This is about every aspect of how you use your voice apart from the words you actually say e.g. volume, articulation and pitch. I teach you how your voice works and how to use your voice to best advantage in any area of life — including selling and negotiation. It's also a lot of fun to learn about!
